Hello everyone, I found some information about a new depression drug. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved Auvelity (dextromethorphan-bupropion). According to Axsome Therapeutics, this tablet uses a new action mechanism of action. It should treat major depressive disorder within a week. This is a condition that occurs in adults.
In case a person experiences at least five symptoms of the following list for roughly two weeks is considered clinically depressed. For example:
  • feels low or depressed
  • loss of interest or pleasure in activities they once enjoyed
  • lack of energy
  • concentrating problems
  • appetite changes
  • feels guilty or worthless
  • sleeping disturbances (insomnia)
  • speak and move more slowly than usual
  • suicidal thoughts
However, this medication may also give you some adverse reactions during treatment. Side effects include sexual function problems, excessive sweating, dry mouth, sleepiness, headaches, diarrhea, and others.
Anyway, I think before using this medicine, you should discuss it with a doctor because Auvelity is expensive.
Maybe this information is useful for someone. Have a nice day!!!
